More than seventeen years ago, Doris left the world of public and private education to set out on a journey that has led her as a teacher to many nations of the world via her international students. Men, women and children have come to this country seeking freedom, a better way of life, financial gain and further success for their families.
Doris taught in public and private schools before opening her own ESL school. She has a B.A. in Elementary Education, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision and has taken additional classes in English and Mid-level Management. She has also spent time evaluating student teachers in the Dallas, Texas, public school system.
Doris has had great success in teaching English to internationals who speak little or no English. Using the American iTalk™ method students begin reading, speaking and pronunciation in as few as 12 weeks. These students include adults from all walks of life, doctors and other professionals, college and high school students and children, many of whom spoke no English when they started class. These students have moved on to college and careers due to their ability to speak and read English well.
